Choral Conducting Institute

Dr. Harold Rosenbaum established his Choral Conducting Institute in 2014 to provide choral conductors with positive and supportive feedback, a deeper understanding of their art, and an opportunity to grow under the guidance of a world-renowned maestro.

The workshop is open to choral conductors of all ages, church musicians, music educators, and musicians from around the world. Individuals who wish to expand their careers and professional networks will benefit from Dr. Rosenbaum’s intensive experience. Much of the workshop will be devoted to physical conducting technique. In addition, Dr. Rosenbaum will lead discussions devoted to the study of scores and interpretation, including:

  • Baton use
  • Conducting recitatives
  • Rehearsing from the keyboard
  • Expressive singing
  • Working with soloists
  • Staccatos, tenutos, choral crescendos, grace notes and glissandos
  • Singer and instrument placements
  • And more

Active participants work closely with the maestro while learning the intricacies of choral conducting. Auditors pay a reduced tuition and may observe the proceedings.
